Hillary still not "truly well off"

After we laughed ourselves silly at Hillary Clinton's statement that her family was "dead broke" (after leaving the White House) she still claims that they are not "truly well off".
“[T]hey don’t see me as part of the problem,” she said, “because we pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we’ve done it through dint of hard work.”…
It may be entirely possible that she doesn't realize that with internet we can easily find that her and Bill made over $100 million on speeches. She may not know that we know that her daughter, Chelsea, is being paid by NBC $600,000 a year (from the start) as a "journalist" whose work nobody ever saw.

By comparison a store clerk can expect to be paid $20,000 year. Yet, Clinton's think they are in the same boat.

BTW Chelsea says that she "tried to care about money but couldn't". This is typical for rich socialists who don't ever care about money.

Russian commandos landed in Ukraine

Ukrainian media reported that probably a few hours ago Russian paratroops landed in Donetsk region.

- In the neighborhood of town of Uspienka (Donetsk) five helicopters flew in about 60 Russian commandos. Currently, Russian saboteurs penetrate well into the Kharkiv region - wrote on the social networks Jaroslaw Gonchar, deputy head local security forces.

Ukrainian National Security Bureau could confirm or deny this information.

It was also confirmed that Russian tanks are in Ukraine. This morning the column consisting of three tanks, five armored personnel carriers and ten trucks crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Luhansk region.

We have information that Russians are shelling Ukrainian border guard positions from their side of the border.

Thousands of Russian troops return to the border

NATO informs that Russian troops are again massing on Ukraine border. It is happening as fighting with "separatists" has intensified. The so called "separatists" are crossing the border from Russia in larger numbers. They bring along older Russian tanks, trucks and missile launchers. It becomes clear that Putin has not stopped trying to destabilize that country. With intensified fighting in Iraq and political crisis in Poland Putin may see a big chance that he will not meet with any reaction from the West.

The video below shows a transport of Russian infantry fighting vehicles BMP-1.

Conservative media want Poland in Visa Waiver Program

Conservative media in the US, Daily Caller, want Poland to be in a Visa Waiver Program. That is how they want to reward Poland for its friendship with the US. They are also impressed with economic progress in the last 25 years.
National wealth, a high Human Development Index, and a low security risk are three important ingredients for gaining VWP status, and Poland scores well on each count. Since shedding communism 25 years ago, Poland has seen its economy dramatically grow to 22nd in the world at $814 billion. The 2013 United Nations Development Report classified Poland as a “very high” HDI country with its 76 years average life expectancy, 99 percent literacy rate for males and females, and $21,000 plus average annual income.
What are the chances for that? Time will show.

End of America?

Today may be the last day of America!!!

With today's decision of the patent office to cancel the trademark of the Redskins it is official, your property can be taken away whenever bureaucrats, or Obama, want to.

This is a culmination of what was happening in the last 2-3 months.

1) The owner of the basketball team is being pressured to sell, below the market value, his team only because he used racist remarks in his own home. The list of those who will bu the team, below market value and therefore with enormous profit, right now is long and includes large number of influential people.

2) The baker who didn't want to bake a cake for a gay wedding because of his religious views was told that he has to or he will go to jail.

To summarize we lost property rights and freedom of speech.

Can government emails go POOF?

IRS told Congress this week that they no longer have emails that could be used to potentially arrest or fire some IRS officials
The agency said that because of financial and computing constraints, some emails “that do not qualify as official records” had been stored only on individuals’ computers and not on servers, and that “backup tapes” from 2011 “no longer exist because they have been recycled.”
To tell the truth it is almost impossible to loose an email (unless you work for IRS). There are also laws that require IT managers to make sure that copies of email are available for many years if not forever.

However, we are dealing with the government that already made trillions of dollars go poof. Just ask our president. He probably still can't explain where the stimulus money went to. The same goes for his friends who start those shiny new companies borrow hundreds of millions from our government and then POOF (the money disappear), and they go bankrupt.

So the short answer is YES. Even if it's impossible and ... illegal.

Russian tanks in Ukraine

Yesterday we published picture of an unmarked tank in Ukraine. What was puzzling was that it was an old tank, T-64. The latest Russian tanks are T-90s. So why T-64?

Here is an answer. The tanks and personnel carriers that Russians are using in Ukraine were confiscated  from the Ukrainian bases in Crimea. Unfortunately not all the "separatists" are trained in use of those weapons. So they have to use Russian crews. Locals had a chance to talk to one of those crews and they didn't even try to hide that they were from Russia.

However it seems that Russia is moving its armies to the border again. Russian fighters enter Ukraine's territory up to 4 miles deep providing cover for columns of trucks and tanks for "separatists".

The Ukraine's problems are far from over.

Russians crossed the border

Both NATO and Ukraine say that Russian takes crossed the border and are moving toward Donetsk. Several tanks and military vehicles were observed Wednesday and Thursday traveling through the eastern Ukrainian cities of Snizhne, Torez and Makiivka.

NATO points out that none of of the vehicles have markings, which it says is “consistent with Russian vehicles and equipment that were deployed to Crimea.” (See picture in previous post.)

Rosjanie wkroczyli!!!

Rosja w sobotę wyraziła oburzenie z powodu ataku "faszyzujących bojówkarzy" na Ambasadę Federacji Rosyjskiej w Kijowie i sprofanowania flagi państwowej FR. Pasażerowie maszyny i załoga zginęli.

Russia: our army is ready for a war

The adviser to the Chairman of Russian Federal Assembly (Parliament), Aleksiej Podbieriozkin, is not sugar coating his words. In his interview with Polish daily he simply said: Russian army is ready for war. Your's is not.

His words were repeated by almost every major news media in Poland. Especially, since there was also treat in them.

In his interview he was trying to say Russia is a victim of western aggression not the other way around.  According to him Russia has nothing to do with the crisis in Ukraine. If it did the things would look much different.

He was also very straight forward with his view about military situation in Europe. According to him Russian army was always the strongest military force in Europe, that Normandy never counted for anything, that it was Russian might that defeated Germany, and that at this point is the only army ready for a war.

So much for president Obama's RESET with Russia.

200 Americans left behind

I looks that administration, that doesn't leave anybody behind, left behind some Americans in Iraq. About 200 of them. Those are Americans under contract with the Department of Defense. They are at Balad Air Force Base that is surrounded by the jihadists who have seized control of two cities and are now threatening Baghdad. Effectively abandoned by the U.S. government and military they are fighting for their lives. They collected the weapons left behind by Iraqi military and private security that fled the base as soon as ISIS forces approached it.

Let's hope it is not a repeat of Benghazi.

Man who took credit for success stays silent

President Obama grabbed the credit for success in Iraq due to Bush. His VP called it 'President Obama's "great achievement"'. Now Obama is "consulting his options" with his security team and it's not his fault. He call's it a "wake up call" for Iraqi government. In the mean time, just like in Ukraine, people are dying.

Planes disappear from radar

Within a week, the tracking system for passenger aircraft in Central Europe failed twice.  According to Austrian daily, “Kurir”, the problems occurred at radar stations in the Czech Republic, in Germany and Austria.

Few days ago "Kurir" wrote that last Thursday (5th) several planes over Central Europe disappeared from radar. A break in the tracking lasted for dozens of minutes while the planes continued their voyages without any problems. After landing, the crews denied that there were any problems with their on-board systems. The problem occurred while NATO  conducted electronic warfare exercises.

The second problem occurred on Tuesday (10th) while there were no NATO exercises nearby.
European air safety agencies are investigating.

EU will decide next week on association with Ukraine

Next week EU will formally decide on signing an association agreement with Ukraine. Ukraine's President is ready to sign a full version of an agreement by the end of this month.
"The president has stated that he is ready to sign an association agreement with the EU as soon as Brussels makes this decision," the Ukrainian presidential press service reports.
Ukraine will be developing as a European state, Poroshenko said.
The full economic integration and political association with the EU are not just dreams but the agenda for the next few years," he said.

Red Line in Ukraine

You may not know that, Russia has Red Line (or lines) for Ukraine and unlike Obama's Red Lines that one cannot be crossed.

The most important: Ukraine absolutely cannot join NATO. Second Red Line: Ukraine should not integrate with EU (never mind join).

Russia also insists that Ukraine should become a federation so any region could veto above ideas from Kiev.

We still have not heard what are Obama's Red Lines for Russia if there are any.

Dead broke in America

Hillary Clinton complained to ABC's Diane Sawyer that when she and Bill left the White House they were "dead broke". They were so broke that they couldn't pay mortgages on their HOUSES (as more then one (1) house).
“We had no money when we got there and we struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages for houses, for Chelsea’s education," (Stanford University, New York University, Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, University of Oxford, Columbia University, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, University College, Oxford) "you know, it was not easy".
They were so dead broke that they were forced to accept $1.5 million loan from their friend.

(LOL).

Is Poland about to attack Germany?

“Why is it all right to have bases in Germany, in Britain, Spain, Italy and Turkey and not in Poland? What are the 55,000 remaining American troops Germany defending against? I assure you that Poland is no threat. And I don't think Denmark wants to attack Germany either,” - said Poland's foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

While Russians threaten that they will react if NATO moves closer their borders Poland renewed a call for a permanent NATO presence on Polish soil.

Russian "trolls" attack

According to the "Washington Post" and "Guardian" millions of Russian paid "trolls" attack anybody who has anything negative to say about Russia in comments sections of The New York Times, CNN or Huffington Post as well as Facebook and Twitter. Existence of Russian Trolls was uncovered by the hackers from Anonymous International.

The Anonymous hackers broke into Russian servers where they found number of documents showing that those trolls are paid by the Russian government, well paid.

According to those documents each trolls on Russian payroll has to post 50 comments on various websites, maintain 6 profiles on Facebook and 10 accounts of Twitter and make at least 3 posts on each daily. Their motto: "I love Russia" or "Russia is OK".

Next time someone attack you for what you wrote about Russia chances it's Russian Troll.

The war intensifies

Governor of Rostov Region declared a State of Emergency in 15 regions that border with Ukraine. The reason for the declaration is a large influx of refugees from Ukraine who try to escape intensified fighting. Russian authorities claim that nearly 7,000 people crossed Russian borders from eastern Ukraine.

On the other side Ukraine seriously considers a martial law in Donbas where fighting intensified. Ukraine's authorities claim that in last few days over 50 trucks crossed the border with Russia possibly carrying Russian "volunteers".

Obama, explain your "reset"

While Polish leaders are not saying that in his face some of them would love to hear an explanation of his "reset" with Russia. One politician from the opposition party, PiS (Law & Fairness), told the press that today's visit should start a change in how the US sees the Eastern Europe.
- Obama is responsible for this conflict, because this "reset" emboldened Russia to take aggressive actions in the region. I am hoping he will explain the "reset" and then propose how to improve security in the region.

OOPS! No more missiles for uncle Vlad

Ukraine will completely stop its exports to Russia. Everyday Russians will not be affected but, Russian military might. The most important Russian missiles: SS-18 Topol, SS-19 Stilet, SS-25 Satan (yes, satan) are either entirely made in Ukraine or most of their components. That's 80% of their strategic missiles.

I bet Vladimir Putin forgot about that.

Putin not invited to inauguration

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will head the U.S. delegation to attend the inauguration of newly elected Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kiev. President of Poland will be there too. However, President of Russia, Putin, was not invited.

Russian media reported on that and apparently wonder WHY?!

Obama in Warsaw

Obama landed in Warsaw today (Tuesday), his first stop on a visit to Europe meant to reaffirm U.S. commitment to its NATO allies. Discussions this week are expected to be dominated by the crisis in Ukraine.

In a news conference with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, Obama announced plans for a $1 billion initiative to boost military training and troop rotations in Europe, including more naval deployments in the Black and Baltic Seas.

He said the initiative, which would require U.S. congressional approval, demonstrates America's "unshakable commitment" to its NATO allies.

In turn, President Komorowski promised Obama that Poland would be increasing its defense spending. "Poland intends to increase the level of financing of its own army to 2 percent of GDP," President Komorowski said after the crisis in Ukraine made the NATO alliance rethink its defense priorities.

Is Russia shifting its "attention" to Poland?

Russia has lunched a military exercise in its Western Military District which includes Moscow and Leningrad districts as well as Kaliningrad that borders both Poland and Lithuania. The exercise will include “high precision” Iskander missiles (made by good folks that gave us Chernobyl) with effective range of 380-500 kilometers which means that they can hit targets in entire Lithuania and most of Poland, including Warsaw. Iskander missiles cause plenty of concerns because they can also be armed with nuclear warheads. The maneuvers will also involve long-range bombers armed with cruise missiles. There is a question how those bombers would reach Kaliningrad since this territory is not connected to Russia. It's an enclave surrounded by Baltic Sea, Poland and Lithuania.

The maneuvers which will end on June 5th keep governments of both Poland and Lithuania on the edge and they seem to be designed to do just that.
