– The migration pact will never come into force, because I was the one who wrote into the EU documents that if we help Ukrainians, we will not accept anyone else – Rafał Trzaskowski stated during the debate. Karol Nawrocki pointed out that the KO candidate was lying. He asked the PO deputy chairman to indicate a specific document. The mayor of Warsaw replied that he meant the regulation from 2015. – The conclusion was clearly written that if we help Ukrainians, accept refugees, then we should be excluded from any relocation of other refugees, - he repeated.
PiS MEP Patryk Jaki commented on the matter: Let us recall that the migration pact was not created in 2015, but at the end of 2020. So Rafał Trzaskowski could not work on it, because at that time he was the mayor of Warsaw - Jaki recalled. - Maybe our genius of European politics does not know this, but local government officials cannot enter anything into European regulations, - he said.
– Our rainbow Rafał can predict the future. He says that in 2015, he already arranged something for Poles in the migration pact, which was invented five years later, which resulted in us being exempted from accepting migrants because we helped Ukrainians after the outbreak of war in 2022 – Patryk Jaki summed up jokingly.
