US has intel on Russians but won't share

US has detailed intel on Russian forces at Ukrainian borders but won't share it with Ukraine.
In the case of Ukraine, the United States historically does not share much out of concern that the information provided to Kiev would make its way back to Moscow. Until February, Ukraine’s military maintained close ties to Russia. The chances that its military is penetrated by Russia’s military intelligence agency, the GRU are high.
Russia has amassed 80,000 troops on Ukraine’s border. Russian forces include fixed and rotor wing aircraft, tanks, artillery, light infantry and special operations forces. The also deployed mobile hospitals which means they are ready for a real war.
