This is a third plane shut down by Russians or Russian "separatists" (in other words Russian spacial forces) in the last 7 days. Yesterday Russian fighter jet brought down Ukrainian fighter jet over Ukrainian territory (in other words committing an act of war), and on Monday Ukrainian transport plane was brought down (both pilot were killed) with a missile.
There also reports that Russian jets attacked residential buildings in the same region with multiple civilian deaths.
