Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov told John Kerry that Ukraine is responsible for the latest upsurge in fighting in eastern Ukraine. According to him Kiev's government forces are "constantly" shelling towns. It is an obvious lie. The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe already said that its investigation showed that it was pro Russian rebels (and most likely Russian troops also known as Russian tourists) who killed 27 people in the city of Mariupol.
We already know that Russians are constantly lying about what is going in Ukraine. What we should worry about is why US government tolerates such lies. Refusal to even talk to Lavrov would go far, but unfortunately we can't expect that from a current US president and his administration.
I am afraid that US has gone even lower than Chamberlain in 1939. Let's hope we won't regret that.
