Polish and Lithuanian police prevented a street battle between Polish and Russian soccer fans setup to take place somewhere in Lithuania. Warsaw's police receive a tip that the fans of Legia Warsaw are preparing for the fight with the fans of the Russian soccer club. With their cooperation Lithuanian police was able to prevent Polish fans from arriving at the prearranged place. Nearly 150 people were returned to Poland.
Polish intelligence services speculate that such incident could be used by Russia to start a conflict w Lithuania.
