Poland and Visegrad Group successfully blocked some really bad candidates, the "elites" are furious

It appears that negotiations around new EU's leaders are over and Visegrad Group led by Poland had tremendous success. They successfully blocked some really bad candidates, including Frans Timmermans who was so sure of his high level job that he didn't apply for any other position and may end up without any. It is a huge success since the Visegrad Group showed an unusual solidarity among its members and across the whole political spectrum, left to right. It now becomes a major "counter weight" to Berlin-Paris alliance.

It appears that European mainstream media are still considering Timmermans to be a front runner, but from what we hear the deal is done. Here is one interesting reaction from the leftist media: "Europe Must Not Allow Enemies of Democracy to Choose the Next EU Commissioner."

Thanks to Eastern Europe the European Union is changing. It becomes more democratic and with more equality among its members. Who saw that coming?
