New coronavirus mutation already in Germany?

Much of what has been said and written about the new coronavirus variant discovered in the British Isles has yet to be scientifically confirmed. British scientists will not announce more detailed information in the coming days.

Current claims that the new SARS-CoV-2 variant is 70 percent more contagious are not based on reliable findings, but are estimates that have leaked through politicians to the media.

Virologist at the Charite clinic in Berlin, Christian Drosten, says that, there are indications that the new coronavirus has crossed many lines long ago. "I think it is already in Germany," he said. The virus mutation has been spreading in England for several months and has made its way to various European countries.

We know she's in Europe and even Australia. Why shouldn't she be in Germany?"  - He said.

Drosten does not believe that the mutation has any effect on the efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines.
