Because a national immunization program is essential, the government adopted the idea of its ambassadors. In the Czech Republic, the prime minister got vaccinated, and the president in Slovakia. Poland adopted a different model. The government decided that they will not award anyone with vaccination priority. The Prime Minister chose not to be the first to get vaccinated. The first group of people to be vaccinated, "the group zero," was selected from medics as it was the most appropriate. They protect all of us; let them be healthy.
What about elites and celebrities? Somehow many of them, including their families, got vaccinated in the first few days of the program under the pretense of showing others that it is safe to do so. Many Poles feel that wasn't about any ambassadorship. They think that it was merely a group of people who selected themselves to be the first in line. After all, that's what being "more equal" is all about.
