Poland removes Russian TV channels

Russian TV channels have been removed from the register of programs distributed in Poland, informs the National Broadcasting Council.

The announcement on this matter was published by the National Broadcasting Council on Thursday on its website.

"In connection with the commencement of hostilities by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, due to security and defense issues of the Republic of Poland, the National Broadcasting Council adopted a resolution on deleting the following programs from the 'Registry of television programs broadcast only in the ICT system and broadcast programs': RT (Russia Today), RT Documentary, RTR Planeta, Soyuz TV, Russija 24 "- says the press release.

The statement explained that "the deletion from the registry means the inability to distribute the above-mentioned programs over cable networks, satellite platforms and internet platforms".
