From May 16, the state of the epidemic will be transformed into a state of epidemic threat - said Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski on Friday. The state of the epidemic has been in force in Poland since March 20, 2020.
- This is not the elimination of the epidemic, but - symbolically speaking - switching the red light to orange, which shows that there is a risk, there is a threat, but the situation is going in the right direction - said the head of the ministry health Adam Niedzielski.
- We are monitoring the situation. Today's number of 611 infections reflects the average number of cases in recent weeks - explained the politician.
- The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients is around 1100 people. According to doctors, however, these are not as severe cases as in the case of the Delta mutation. Hospitalizations are also much shorter - added Niedzielski.
