A cosmic scale scandal: The Ministry of Defense didn't know that a rocket, Falcon 5, is falling on Polish territory, because their email address was out of date. At least, that's what MoD claims, and of course, they blame the sender, the Polish Space Agency.
Grzegorz Wrochna, head of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA), was urgently summoned to the Ministry of Development and Technology on Thursday, February 20. The ministry demanded explanations regarding the incident involving the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and obliged the agency to change its notification procedures.
However, this is not the end of the matter. The Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced taking decisive steps against the head of POLSA. He asked the Minister of Development and Technology, who is overseeing POLSA, to find a way to dismiss Grzegorz Wrochna from his position.
PN: Why the MoD explanations seem legitimate it is not the first time they have a situation like that. If memory serves in the last 12 months, Russian drones at least twice crash handed in Poland, and they found out about if long after the fact.
