They still plan to block the president elect

Roman Giertych, apparently a very influential politician from Civic Platform, suggested postponing the swearing-in of Karol Nawrocki by the National Assembly. "Then the Marshal of the Sejm will act as president," he said.

To make that happen, he suggests that both chambers of the Sejm, the National Assembly, vote for a recess until September 6, during which time the bill on the Supreme Court would be voted on.

The goal is to change the law so that the Supreme Court could decide whether to accept the oath from President-elect Karol Nawrocki. If they don't, the presidency would go to the Sejm Marshal from the governing party giving it absolute power in the country.
