It seems that PM Tusk was planning a coup d'état while keeping his hands clean (Tusk part 2)

Subsequent reports suggest that Prime Minister Donald Tusk proposed to the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, that he participate in a de facto coup. Tusk also issued threats against Hołownia. His goal was to undermine the presidential election results and prevent Karol Nawrocki from being sworn in as President of Poland.

The Speaker allegedly refused to take part in a plot not to allow Nawrocki to be sworn in, which in fact would be a coup d'état.

The proposal was supposedly made several times, but each time, the leader of Poland 2050 unequivocally refused. The leaders of the "Left" and the leader of the Polish People's Party also said, "No."

The Speaker of the Sejm even threatened to break up the governing coalition.
