Yesterday, representatives of France, Germany, the UK, the EU, the US, and Ukraine met in Geneva. Discussions focused on the 28-point peace plan for Ukraine proposed by the United States. Not a single representative of the Polish government participated in the consultations.
These consultations are scheduled to continue today, again without the participation of the Polish representative.
Tusk decided - straight from Angola - to speak about the peace negotiations:
Chancellor Merz has already informed me about the details of his conversation with President Trump and his assessment of Russia's economic situation and the negotiations that took place in Geneva.
"As you know, I am not an enthusiast of all of President Trump's words, actions, or decisions. I have never hidden that, so I am counting on President Nawrocki to be more active. If he is able to get something done, he should feel free to do so, and I will truly and wholeheartedly support his actions, should he decide to take any."
In other words, Prime Minister Tusk wants President Nawrocki to do his job for him because he is too busy and is not going to apologize for his words about President Trump.
