President Karol Nawrocki announced on Friday that Prime Minister Donald Tusk had made a decision to ban heads of intelligence agencies from meeting or talking with him. The National Security Bureau commented on the prime minister's decision, calling Tusk's decision "unacceptable and a threat to the security of our homeland."
Money.pl journalist Tomasz Żółciak reports on the situation:
"The president was supposed to invite the heads of the agencies: Stróżyk and Syrysko. The date was agreed upon, but the gentlemen were supposedly stopped by Donald Tusk. The Palace was taken by surprise and was not informed of anything. There's a rumor going around that the president doesn't have the authority to summon the service heads, and that Donald Tusk will convey to Karol Nawrocki whatever he deems appropriate."
"To be prime minister, posting on X isn't enough. You also need to know how to govern and put the state above party interests. The prime minister, in his typical manner, lied and failed to provide a clear explanation of what had really happened. Donald Tusk has decided that the heads of the secret services are banned from meeting with the President of the Republic of Poland," - President Karol Nawrocki announced in a recording posted on X.
"In this way, the prime minister once again used the special services in a political fight. While war rages beyond our eastern border, he decided that the president, commander-in-chief of the armed forces, should be deprived of access to crucial information regarding national security," - wrote the President.

PN: This unfortunately reminds me of a similar escalation of conflict between Donald Tusk, who held the PM post 15 years ago as well, and the President of Poland, Lech Kaczynski, right before he died in the "plane crash" in 2010. The "plane crash" was never fully explained or investigated because Tusk's government allowed Russia to "investigate" it.
