They refuse to meet the President but demand promotions

There is an ongoing dispute between the government and the president over decorations for intelligence service officers.

President Nawrocki's spokesman reveals:

"It so happens that among the applications for decorations submitted to the President were the names of officers about whom there are serious concerns that they were involved in activities against the civic candidate for President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, during the election campaign. Thus, they were influencing democratic processes in Poland, and this cannot be allowed!"

The presidential spokesman assessed that "this bears the hallmarks of a provocation, because the majority of people proposed for the decorations are officers who carry out their service with dedication, ensuring the security of the Republic of Poland."

Meanwhile, the heads of the secret services refuse to meet with the President of the Republic of Poland.

Rafał Leśkiewicz emphasized that "President Karol Nawrocki expects the heads of the secret services to appear at the Presidential Palace."

"There are many matters to discuss and many questions to which the president expects answers. First and foremost, what is the real level of threats and their impact on the security of the state, as discussed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, compared to what the heads of the secret services write in the reports submitted to the president?" he assessed.

According to the president's spokesman, "we are dealing with a disproportion between what the prime minister says publicly and what the services actually deliver to the president's desk."

"Security cannot be part of the government's cynical political game. The security of Polish women and men is a raison d'état, which the prime minister and the heads of the secret services under his command have unfortunately forgotten," he stated.
