Trump has said some stupid things, but what are the facts?

Trump said: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

If you google for "illegal immigrants crime statistics" you will get many results but surprisingly low number from major media (unless they argue with Trump's words).

So here are some facts and links found on the net:

Here is the Los Angeles Police Department’s list of “Most Wanted” criminal suspects:

There aren’t a lot of Mexicans in New York state — half of all Mexican immigrants in the U.S. live in either Texas or California — and yet there are more Mexican prisoners in New York than there are inmates from all of Western Europe.

washingtonpost.com: Surprise! Donald Trump is wrong about immigrants and crime
"The crime rate among first-generation immigrants — those who came to this country from somewhere else — is significantly lower than the overall crime rate and that of the second generation," they write.
Since undocumented immigrants are more than a quarter of the immigrant population, it's nearly impossible that the overall-immigrant crime rate could be so much lower if the undocumented-immigrant crime rate were significantly higher.
But, did you know that in 2013 the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had released from custody 36,007 convicted criminals (lowering bad statistics)? One thousand of those 36,000 illegal immigrant criminals have gone on to commit other crimes.

So, who is right???
