It appears that CNBC tried to pull something by not providing candidates with the criteria for the debate.
As The New York Times reported the leading candidates have no idea what the criteria are. Even the actual length of it. Aides to Ben Carson, Senator Rand Paul, Senator Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee as well as campaign manager for Mr. Trump expressed their unhappiness to CNBC. They say that not knowing the criteria makes participation difficult. In other words, they may not come.
