How well is Polish economy doing? Better then ever, and better than most of the European Union members. It is doing so well that it quit $9.2 billion precautionary IMF credit line.
“We are resigning from a $9.2 billion credit line from the IMF,” the Finance Ministry said on Twitter, quoting Finance Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. “The Polish economy is in such a good situation that we can do it.”
According to Reuters since 2009 Poland had a Flexible Credit Line agreement in place to use at times of crisis, but has never drawn on the funds.
Poland is also enjoying the fastest industrial employment growth. While in the first 6 months of 2017 industrial employment in the European Union grew by 354,000, 63% (223,000) of it was in Poland.
And on top of it all Poland joined the club of the 25 most developed economies.
