Warsaw in 1935, Wola district

This video is a digital reconstruction of the western Warsaw district, Wola. The project was financed by an energy company PGNiG that owns the original Gas Company that served the district and feels responsible for its heritage.

Today's Wola does not look like the city on the video. During the reconstruction after WWII the architects and planners in charge, influenced by the Communist regime, did not feel the need to follow the original look and the designs of the city. Therefore the original look of Wola has been lost forever. ENJOY!
