Afghanistan wants an apology for the Soviet invasion

After 40 years, Kabul remembered the Soviet invasion that started all the wars that have been destroying the country until today.

- Such stories happen between neighbors. But now we hope that the leaders of Russia will somehow apologize to the Afghan people - said Ambassador of Afghanistan to Moscow Abdul Qayyum Kochi during the meeting in the Duma (Russian parliament).

No apology is coming. Moscow has already expressed its surprise over the Afghan ambassador’s statement:
“The troops were deployed as a result of actions against that leadership (new Afghan government). The statement raises nothing but surprise and bewilderment,"
