About a month ago several European politicians celebrated Karl Marx and the bicentenary of his birth and we thought that was just is ignorance or stupidity. Now, a town in France named one of its streets after a communist leader of Poland, Edward Gierek.
The celebrated his activism in France and a role in a strike in 1930's. They say that he deserves this honor because he "defended" workers' rights completely ignoring the fact that under his leadership Polish communist military and police brutally beaten and imprisoned workers protesting sudden increase in the price (30%-100%) of many basic commodities.
France shows its true color - bloody RED.
