Poland beats Germany in residence permits, by a lot

Up until now German politicians would not shut up about how Poland and other smaller countries should start accepting more and more migrants. Until now, because the Eurostat, the EU's statistical agency, published a report that Poland issued the biggest number of first residence permits to non-EU citizens beating Germany by around 100,000 (635k vs. 544k). For some reason none of the major news organizations found the time to include that in the news cycle.
