The numbers don't make sense

Hopkins map, US, as of 3/21/20

Is it just me? Am I the only one seeing this? Why the numbers in the US are different then in every other country? It seems that the US is the only country where the number of people who recovered from the sickness is half of the number of people who got sick. 25,500 cases with 307 deaths and 171 recovered. In Italy there were 53,500 cases with 4,825 deaths and 6,072 recoveries. In Germany, 22,200 cases with 84 deaths and 233 recovered. What gives?
