New York City: Polish-American doctor dies of coronavirus

Dr. Bogdan Lekan died of complications associated with COVID-19. He was the first Polish diaspora doctor to become a victim of a pandemic. DoRzeczy.pl: "... unlike some doctors leaving New York for fear of infection, Dr. Lekan worked with dedication to the end. He was ill for about three weeks, of which he was connected to a respirator for over two."

Dr. Bogdan Lekan, MD was a pediatrics specialist in Ridgewood, NY. Dr. Lekan completed a residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. He practiced at LEKAN BODGAN PHYSICIAN.
