Polish cities focus on electromobility

Urbino Electric

Today, more than 150 electric buses are on the streets of 20 Polish cities. More than 300 more are in production or are being delivered. In the coming months, the fleet of electric Solaris buses in Poland will constitute an impressive number of 490 vehicles, delivered to 33 cities. And there are more and more new contracts.

Solaris is largest electric bus maker in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. Solaris is one of the main authors of changes in public transportation in Poland. In recent months, Solaris has signed many significant contracts for the delivery of modern electric buses to Polish cities. The largest orders were placed by Lublin, Krak6w, Poznan and Katowice.

A port city, Gdynia, has been impressively developing its emission-free trolleybus transport network for years, and has recently enriched its fleet with the so-called "Supertrolleybuses" equipped with traction batteries, such as those in electric buses, charged from trolleybus traction.

Sales of electric buses in Europe are growing dynamically, and Poland ranks 5th in the European Union in terms of the number of electric buses in cities. It is quickly becoming an extremely important market for zero-emission vehicles.
