Poland: - A complete lockdown is needed at the moment. For two to three weeks. Short but applicable to everyone. Partial measures bring partial effects, and so far these effects are not visible - said profesor Adam Antczak, pulmonologist, vice-president of the Medical University of Lodz.

Portal Wirtualna Polska (Virtual Poland) (WP) reports that a complete lockdown is possible this week. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is seriously considering this option with an increase in coronavirus infections.

According to WP, the government has not made a final decision on this matter. Although the prime minister does not rule out a lockdown, the Ministry of Development is against it. - When the number of patients exceeds 20,000, we may not have a choice - however, politicians close to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister say in an interview with the portal.

- Experts and epidemiological analysts say that if the number of infections exceeds 30,000 the country's health system will collapse. We must do everything to prevent this from happening. We have received information that the virus has mutated and now its incubation period is not 3 to 5 days, but in some cases 1 to 20 - says one politician.
