Hydrogen Solaris buses will go to Sweden

Sweden's Transdev has signed a contract with Solaris Bus & Coach for the purchase of two hydrogen buses Urbino 12. The vehicles will appear on the roads of the city of Sandviken in the fall of 2021.

Urbino 12 Hydrogen, which will soon hit the streets of Sweden, are quiet and emission-free vehicles powered by a 70 kW fuel cell. The drive unit in the hydrogen Solaris buses is an axle with electric motors. In addition, the ordered vehicles will be equipped with a Solaris High Power battery, which serves as an additional electricity storage.

Since 2003, Solaris has delivered over 600 vehicles to customers in Sweden, the vast majority of which are low-emission and zero-emission vehicles.
