Poland suspends vaccinations of group zero


 Three hundred thirty thousand doses for the first vaccinations of medical personnel were supposed to be shipped next week to node hospitals. The government has decided to suspend this transport and change the logistics until the Pfizer's delivery schedule is updated, informed the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Michał Dworczyk.

"Minister @michaldworczyk: Yesterday, Pfizer announced a temporary reduction in deliveries to EU countries and most likely these reduced deliveries will take place between January 18th and 25th. So far, we have not received an updated delivery schedule."

 As Dworczyk further emphasized, in connection Pfizer's announcement, the government took steps to secure the further vaccination process. - "All people who received the first dose of the vaccine will certainly receive the second dose" - assured the politician. - "We are not changing anything when it comes to population vaccinations. Seniors over 70 years of age start vaccinations after January 25. The registration schedule does not change either" - Dworczyk explained.
