Polish Ambassador summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Five Polish diplomats were expelled!


 The Polish Ambassador in Moscow, Krzysztof Krajewski, was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the diplomat arrived there on Friday around 11 a.m. (local time). According to the RIA Novosti agency, the ambassador was summoned in connection with the decision of the Polish authorities to expel Russian diplomats.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that Russia had expelled five Polish diplomats from Moscow. This is supposed to be a response to the earlier decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw to deem three Russian diplomats as unwanted persons.

We acknowledge Russia's decision and reserve the right to respond adequately - announced the deputy head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk.
