Emergency landing, opposition activist detained

A Ryanair plane flying from Athens to Vilnius made an emergency landing at the airport in Minsk, Belarus. The portal Onliner reported that one of the passengers was the opposition activist Raman Pratasiewicz detained by the police.

According to Onliner, the plane landed in Minsk in an emergency due to information about the bomb. Ultimately, this was a false alarm.

Pratasiewicz was one of the authors of the opposition channel, 'Nexta,' on Telegram, and later another channel - 'Belarus of the Brain.' He was indicted in a criminal case and placed on the list of "involved in terrorist activities."

Cichanouska, leader of the Belarusian opposition, says that "the regime compromised the safety of the passengers and the entire civil aviation to crack down on the man who edited the largest independent channels on Telegram." [...] "Just for that, he was recognized as a terrorist, and he may face the death penalty in Belarus."
