Poland and the Czech Republic reached a final agreement regarding coal mine in Turów

Negotiations with the Czech side regarding the Turów mine have ended. The sides adopted the guidelines for the agreement to be signed between the Polish and Czech governments. The finalization of this agreement is a condition for withdrawing the Czech's complaint to the CJEU.

"The agreement between Poland and the Czech Republic regarding the Turów mine should now be drawn up in a longer form and presented for approval in domestic procedures," - said government spokesman Piotr Müller.

On Tuesday, a several-hour long protest by the employees of the Turów mine and power plant began on the cross-border road between the Czech Republic and Germany. Dozens of flagged cars drove between the two roundabouts, slowing down traffic on the transit route.
