Polish Prime Minister: the path to climate neutrality must be fair

We need an energy transformation, but one that will not be lost by ordinary people said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. He stressed that the path to climate neutrality must be fair.

Prime Minister took part in the UN climate conference COP26 in Glasgow on Monday.

Leaders of over 100 countries with 85 percent of global forests will commit on Tuesday to halt and reverse deforestation by 2030, it was announced late Monday evening. This is the first agreement at the COP26 conference in Glasgow.

The signatories will be Brazil, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Canada, Russia, China, Indonesia, and Colombia, all key countries to halt deforestation. Cutting down trees contributes to climate change, as it depletes forests that consume approx. 30 percent of all emissions of carbon dioxide contribute to global warming.
