Border crisis intensifies, series of shots on the Belarusian side

Despite the passing weeks, the crisis on the border with Belarus not only continues but intensifies. Polish soldiers are not the only ones who have to face the provocations of the Lukashenka regime.

Lithuanian services reported that around 120 attempts by migrants to illegally cross the border were thwarted in the last week alone.

On Saturday, the Lithuanian Interior Ministry announced that 20 shots were fired on the Belarusian side of the border. The incident took place in the south region of Lithuania close to the Polish border.

Polish Border Guard, in turn, announced today about attempts to cross the Polish-Belarusian border by force. During one of those attempts, a Polish soldier suffered a serious facial injury from the projectile.

Additionally, the migrants threw stones at the Polish officers and destroyed the steel wire entanglements. At that time, Belarusians were blinding Poles with strobe light and lasers.
