"Leave No Traces" is a story about high school graduate Grzegorz Przemyk, son of the opposition poet Barbara Sadowska, who in May 1983 was badly beaten by police officers and died a few days later. The only witness to the beating was his friend Jurek Popiel, who decided to fight for justice in court. Meanwhile, the authorities of that time tried to hold ambulance paramedics responsible for the crime. To make this version credible, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party established a special team to investigate the matter. In fact, it was the surveillance and intimidation team.
