Poland will provide Ukraine with MANPADS "Piorun"

The government adopted a resolution on helping Ukraine. Poland will provide it with ammunition and MANPADS "Piorun" - informed Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak.

"Good news. On my request, the Council of Ministers adopted a resolution on aid to Ukraine. We will provide the most modern Polish equipment - Piorun portable anti-aircraft missile systems and ammunition" - wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night Błaszczak.

The head of the National Security Bureau, Paweł Soloch, informed on Monday about the decision to support Ukraine and the declaration of the transfer of tens of thousands of pieces of ammunition. The decision, made "in close contact with President" Andrzej Duda, is being finalized by the Minister of Defense. He emphasized that ammunition is to be used in defense.
