The Open Source Intelligence Monitor shared a photo on Twitter showing smoke rising from the Russian embassy in Warsaw. The authors of the post inform that according to their reports "rumors are circulating that Russian diplomats are burning documents".
Citybuzz.pl reminds that, apart from a similar event before the invasion in Kiev, such situations had already happened before.
"In 2017, photos from San Francisco circulated around the world, where a similar smoke appeared on the Russian diplomatic post. Then no diplomat left this place and the war did not take place either," - reminds the portal.
It is worth noting, however, that the situation is different. Poland is not only a country that accepted the most refugees in the World since WWII but is also openly supporting Ukraine in this war.
In a blistering social media post, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, lashed out at Poland for its support of Ukraine, reviving and escalating decades-long tensions between Moscow and Warsaw.
"Poland’s surprisingly spirited defense of Ukraine would prove expensive and pointless," Medvedev wrote.
The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Poland, Sergei Andreyev, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, and 45 Russians who the government identified as intelligence officers using their diplomatic status were expelled from Poland. They include, among other employees of the Russian embassy in Warsaw.
