Ukraine: Russians deported over 2.3 thousand children

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine provided shocking information. According to them, the Russians were to deport more than 2,300 children to their territory.

This information may be shocking even to those who know Russian history firsthand. In the last two hundred years, tens of thousands of Poles were deported from occupied territories to the inside of Russia, mostly Siberia. But deporting children is a first even for Soviet Russia. The only other people who would kidnap kids in such a fashion were Nazi Germans.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on social media that, according to information from last Saturday, on March 19, the occupation forces illegally deported 2,389 children from the Donetsk and Luhansk districts to the territory of the Russian Federation. Let us recall that these republics were declared "independent" by a decree by Vladimir Putin even before the war began and that he signed agreements "on friendship, cooperation and mutual aid" with their self-proclaimed leaders.

"Forced movement of civilians to the territory of the aggressor's state, including children, shows signs of abduction. Such actions are a flagrant violation of international law, in particular international humanitarian law. By destroying homes and killing parents, the Russian Federation deprives Ukrainian children of parental care and puts them at risk in Russia "- we could read in the post on Facebook of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
