Poland signed a contract for Chunmoo rocket launchers

Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak has approved a framework contract for the supply of 288 K239 Chunmoo launchers to the Polish Armed Forces. Its implementation will significantly strengthen Polish Missile Forces and Artillery.

According to the agreement, a total of 288 K239 Chunmoo launchers with a significant amount of ammunition are to be delivered to Poland. Each of the launchers is armed with two launch containers containing six guided missiles with a range of approximately 80 km or one ballistic missile with a range of approximately 290 km. All launchers will be mounted on Polish Jelcz truck chassis and will be integrated with the Topaz fire control system.

The first squadron of 18 launchers will be delivered to Poland with ammunition in 2023 and will reach initial combat capability that year.
