Poland is ready to buy weapons from other EU countries if those countries stop waging war with us. We are ready to place orders, but not in a situation where we are told that there is no rule of law in Poland - said Jarosław Kaczyński, chairman of the Law and Justice (PiS) the party currently in power.When PiS leader was asked whether he saw support for strengthening the Polish army and supplying it with modern American weapons he said:
"Of course, we want as many American weapons as possible, but it is not that easy to buy, because weapons are not on store's shelves. We must order them. It takes years, and we are in a hurry" - he stressed.
Therefore - as he explained - the Polish army buys weapons from South Korea and the United Kingdom.
"We are ready to buy in other countries if only these countries would stop the war with us in the European Union," - he said.
