Germany does not agree to nuclear power in Poland

Polish energy portal Energetyka24_com: German local authorities in Brandenburg, Berlin, and Saxony are against constructing a nuclear power plant in Poland.

The arguments of the German side concern fears related to the nuclear catastrophe. The justification for their attitude is that after Chornobyl and Fukushima, "plans for further use of nuclear energy in the interests of the population and the environment of all Baltic countries should be abandoned." They also suggest that there are concerns about compliance with international safety standards.

The Polish nuclear project has already been attacked by German politicians - in January 2021, a report was created at the request of the German Green Party, which hit the Polish nuclear project. The document turned out to be extremely unreliable, as was shown by an analysis prepared for Energetyka24.

The regions that protest the project are also known as very friendly toward Russia and its energy giant, Gazprom.

At the same time, Polish media inform that idea of building a nuclear power plant has 75 percent approval among Poles.
