Poland now has MQ-9A Reaper drones

 "MQ-9A Reaper drones of the MALE class have been delivered to Poland, leased from the US as part of an urgent operational need. (...) They will serve in the Polish Air Force, conducting reconnaissance, among others, on our eastern border," - announced today on social media Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense.

As reported by Defence24_pl, in October, Poland signed a $70.6 million contract with General Atomics for a reconnaissance service using a single MQ-9A Reaper. The service is to be provided until the unmanned reconnaissance and strike system, Reaper, is purchased.

Information about plans to purchase MQ-9A Reaper systems appeared in Poland a few days after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. Defence24 was the first to report on it.
