Niezalezna(.)pl: Poland will organize the Volleyball World Championships in 2027, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced in Zakopane (Polish mountain resort).
"It is worth sharing another great news at this European Sports Congress taking place in Poland, which we owe to Polish volleyball players. I can now solemnly announce that the 2027 World Championships will be held in Poland. This is great news for all sports fans, but in particular the phenomenal attitude of our volleyball players and fans meant that we once again had the opportunity to organize this world-class event " – said the head of government.
In 2022, the Volleyball World Cup was supposed to be held in Russia, but the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) took away its hosting rights after the invasion of Ukraine and awarded it to Poland and Slovenia.
