DoRzeczy(.)pl: "We are sending transport planes from the Air Force to carry out the evacuation of Poles currently in Israel. Soldiers of our special forces will ensure the protection of the cargo and safety on board. We are working so that all our compatriots can return home safely," wrote on social media President Duda.
There are approximately four hundred Poles in Israel, and none were harmed in the Hamas attack.
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Israel advises against all travel to the border areas with the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria. "Due to the risk of further missile attacks, we remind you of the safety rules and procedures in the event of an attack," we read in the statement. Due to the Hamas attack, Polish Airlines (LOT) canceled connections with Israel.
On Saturday, the spokesman for LOT announced that due to the attack, it was canceling flights to Israel.
