Niezalezna(.)pl: President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, announced that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will be given the mission of forming a government after the 2023 parliamentary elections.
The president said who he would entrust with the mission of forming the government. He noted that as a result of the parliamentary elections, none of the committees won an independent majority. He talked about consultations with committees as good and substantive talks. He recalled that both 'Law and Justice,' and 'Civic Coalition' stated during consultations that they could build a parliamentary majority.
"After calm analysis and consultations, I decided to entrust the mission of forming a government to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Therefore, I decided to continue the good parliamentary tradition, according to which the winning party is the first to be given the opportunity to form a government."
