NATO may save the three most significant Polish projects of the last 8 years

Niezalezna(.)pl: The politicians from the opposition parties that just won the majority in Sejm couldn't wait to Cancel some of the largest Polish projects favored by the former government. The wanted to cancel the out of hatred for their 'enemies.' That would have been a big 'Cancel' of all cancelations.

Unfortunately for them both the United States and NATO have just send a clear signal that Via Carpatia, Via Baltica and the Central Communication Port (CPK) are important for European defense.

Also, on November 23, 2023, General Alexander Solfrank, head of NATO's logistics command, proposed that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization member countries "remove the bureaucracy that hinders the movement of troops in Europe, because it would hinder a quick response in the event of a potential conflict with Russia."

"- NATO must focus on improving military mobility throughout its area of responsibility (AOR) - in particular north-south along the eastern border. Projects such as Via Baltica, Via Carpathia or the Central Communication Port (CPK) in Poland should be the highest priority," - wrote Andrew A. Michta , an American political scientist from the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security at the Atlantic Council.

The Central Communication Port is a planned transfer hub between Warsaw and Łódź, which will integrate air, rail and road transport. As part of this project, 37 km west of Warsaw, in an area of approx. 3 thousand ha, an airport is to be built. The first stage of the airport, i.e. two parallel runways and infrastructure to handle 40 million passengers, is to be launched in 2028. The CPK General Plan assumes that the airport will then be expanded in a modular manner. The CPK company is 100 percent owned by the State Treasury.

Via Carpatia is an international route connecting Northern and Southern Europe. In Poland, this route will be over 700 km long. The Via Carpatia route includes sections of the S61, S16 and S19 expressways running through five voivodeships - Podlaskie, Warmian-Masurian, Masovian, Lublin and Podkarpackie.

Via Baltica is an international transport corridor (in Poland, from Warsaw to Budzisko), covering Poland and the Baltic countries. Ultimately, it is to take over transit traffic between Western Europe and the Baltic countries.

Polonianews(.)com: You have to feel the pain of the progressive elites in Poland. Whom or what can they 'cancel' now?
