Peaceful protests turned violent because of provocateurs, including ruling politicians and police

MP Waldemar Buda at a press conference said: "Conversations with officers indicate that the police were under enormous political pressure, that politicians and the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration put pressure on the police's actions, wanted to lead to a confrontation with farmers, wanted to scare them."

"It was the second protest, and I think it was to prevent the third protest from taking place so that farmers would not stand up for their own rights," - Buda noted.

The Prime Minister finally found the time to address the farmers' grievances. After the clashes with police he announced that he would not talk to the bandits.

It's worth noting that farmers in other EU member countries are treated in a similar manner.
