Polish volunteer was killed in the Gaza Strip

On Easter Monday, an Israeli rocket hit a convoy of volunteers from the humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen (WCK) delivering food to the Gaza Strip.

Seven people died, including Palestinians, a Briton, an Australian, a holder of dual US and Canadian citizenship, and a Pole, a resident of Przemyśl.

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski reacted to the death of a Polish citizen as a result of an Israeli missile strike.

"I personally asked the Israeli ambassador to Poland, Yacov Livny, for urgent explanations. He assured me that Poland will soon receive the investigation results into this tragedy. Our Ministry of Justice is launching an investigation," Sikorski wrote on Tuesday on the X platform.

"I join in my condolences to the family of our brave volunteer and all civilian victims in the Gaza Strip," added the head of Polish diplomacy.
