Belarus is moving tanks to the border with Ukraine

Belarus has started transferring heavy military equipment, including tanks, to the regions bordering Ukraine. The decision was taken in response to incidents related to the violation of Belarusian airspace by drones, which, according to the Belarusian authorities, allegedly came from Ukraine.

According to Belarus, several drones were detected in the Kostiukovichi region in the western part of the country, flying at least 85 kilometers north of the border with Ukraine. As Aleksandr Lukashenko reported, "several of them were shot down."

Belarus presented a recording supposedly showing the remains of downed drones. However, no markings or identifiers can be seen on the fragments that would confirm that those are Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Belarus demanded comprehensive actions to exclude the possibility of repetition of such incidents in the future, which may lead to further escalation of the situation in the region," TASS quoted the ministry's press service. "If the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Belarus cannot prevent such provocations, the Belarusian side will question the advisability of its further presence in Minsk."
